back on line

Well I have been very remiss of late, not been on blog for a while. The first problem was when I broke my wrist in December, this took 9 weeks to heal and then was unable to use my hand. It would be my right hand, but after having an operation to free the nerves am now able to use my hand and so should now be able to post some cards that we have made recently.
Have just been on the Particraft blog, wow some lovely blog candy up for grabs, why not go and have a look.

Medalion Stamps

Hi, I saw this style of card on one of Sheena's tv programmes and thought I would have a go myself.

The stamp used is Medalion stamp HH1184H. I stamped the image onto black card and embossed in white, then stamped again on white card and embossed in black. I then cut out the images and layered them in alternate black and white. The ric-rac is black card cut with a fancy blade at various widths, I then mounted them onto the card to take the style of flowers. The ribbon is from my stash. The last thing I did was to glitter the centres of the flowers. Thank you Sheena for another use for medalion stamps.

handbags

I have been very remiss in writing to our blog, but a few problems at home, now sorted out.

Today I would like to show a handbag made from a template designed by Traci Cornelius, thanks for this Traci, found it good to make.
I have used papers that I had at home, plus some Bazill basic, ribbon, flowers and brads. The inside has been created with a background stamp and chalk inks. Other stamps were in my stash. Hope you like it. Mo x

One stamp 2 designs

Hi all, firstly apologies for not being on the blog for some time, I have had a wisdom tooth removed and it has given me a lot of trouble. Have been on antibiotics and just wanted to sleep all the time, still is getting better and hopefully will go away completely soon.

I have just been playing with one stamp it is a medalion stamp number HH1164F, after stamping and embossing in Silver the image twice on black card and twice on white card and cutting them out, have coloured them using different mediums.

The first one has been coloured with Cosmic Shimmer water paints. A very delicate style of colouring and so different to glue and glitter. The second one has been coloured with Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Paint, on the black layers I have used Glitter paint Aqua Ice, on the white I have used Glitter paint Sky Blush. It is very easy to apply, just dip your finger in the pot and rub all over the image.

Hope you enjoy these images and come back again soon. Mo

Grandchilden

Today I had two of my grandchildren for the day, Bonnie and Beth. We had a really enjoyable day with both Bonnie and Beth making cards. We got to my home at about 9.30 a.m. after stopping off at the shops to buy some lunch (and cakes). The first thing they did was look for the cats, but they were in hiding. They then settled down and made their cards, in all they made 6 each and they were lovely. I promised them that I would take a photo of one of their cards and put them on here for everyone to see. I am really proud of them as they are only 7 and 6 years old but I think they did a great job of making these two cards. What do you think. The first was done by Beth aged 6 and the other by Bonnie aged 7.
